Premium chipboard screw made of A2 stainless steel with countersunk head and partial thread for lightweight installation.
The fischer Power-Fast FPF-SZ A2P made of A2 stainless steel is a screw with a partial thread and cross-slot recess. The countersunk head allows for surface flush installation in wood. The version with a partial thread enables the timber elements to be fastened together tightly. The screw is suitable for fixing load-bearing components in coated wood, hardwood, softwood, and timber connections. This is the case for car port fixings and when erecting balconies.
Top Features:
- With countersunk head.
- Precise, splinter-proof surface finish without the screw twisting off, even with fastenings close to the edge.
- High safety due to ETA approval.
- Saves power and battery capacity. Shank ribs reduce the drive-in resistance.
Advantages/benefits:
- The stainless steel chipboard screw is ideally suited for safe and long-lasting connections in external areas.
- The unique Power-Fast thread reaches into the screw tip and ensures a fast bite. This makes your work noticeably easier with all wood materials.
- The shank ribs (for screws with partial thread from 50 mm in length and up) substantially reduce drive-in resistance and thus enable greater power and battery conservation in your work.
- The optimised head geometry enables an exact and splinter-free surface finish without the screw twisting off, even with connections close to the edge.
- The ETA approval guarantees the high safety standard and the premium quality of fischer Power-Fast screws.
Applications:
- Weathered wood joints
- Safety-relevant applications
- Load-bearing wood structures located externally
- Pergolas
- Fences
- Façades
- Playground equipment
- Door and metal fittings
Building materials:
- Glued-laminated timber
- Cross-laminated timber
- Laminated veneer plywood panels (e.g. Multiplex)
- Hard woods (pre-drilled)
- Chipboards and oriented strand boards (e.g. OSB panels)
- Plywood
- Solid wood panels
- Soft woods
- And many other wood materials
Functioning:
- Screws with partial threads can lock wood parts into place by tightening them against each other.
- Full-thread screws are recommended for mounting thin parts and in less firm wood materials (e.g. soft woods).
- Screws with countersunk head can be flush mounted with the wood.
- Pan-Head screws are particularly well suited for metal and wood joints.
- The raised countersunk head is particularly suitable for joints where the screw head is visible and needs to leave behind an attractive appearance.
